Tassos Kotzanastassis

Tassos is 8GCP’s founder and managing director. He founded 8GCP following a successful career in some of the most prominent firms in the industry: HSBC Group, PRICOA P.I.M. (now Pramerica Real Estate Investors Europe), Henderson Investors and IPD (now MSCI). Prior to 8GCP, he worked for 13 years in London and he was a founding director of the European platform of HSBC Property Investments, building it up from scratch to AUM of nearly €1B. During his career he has amassed experience, in Europe and Asia in all key real estate investment areas: fund management, transactions origination and closing, asset management, valuation, performance measurement, strategy and research.

Tassos is the elected National Council Chair of the Urban Land Council for Greece and Cyprus. He is a regular speaker at conferences and contributor to the financial and the property press on property investment.

Tassos holds a BSc (Hons.) in Economics & Accounting from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Land Management from the University of Reading. He has earned a number of investment management qualifications. He is a CFA charter holder and a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).

Hara Menelaou

Hara is 8G Capital Partner’s Chief Operating Officer. She co-founded 8GCP following 11 years of managerial experience in international firms based in Cyprus and the UK. Hara started her career in PWC in Cyprus and moved on to ACNielsen Central and Eastern Europe, where she was in charge for the Region’s Advertising Expenditure Department in the Emerging Markets: Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Romania, Croatia, the Ukraine, Bulgaria and Russia. In the UK she managed the Card Services Department (Head of Card Services) of Marfin Laiki Bank UK (now Bank of Cyprus), as well as the Marketing and Planning Department (Head of Marketing and Planning) of the same institution.

Hara holds a BBA in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from Adelphi University in New York, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was awarded a prestigious Scholarship by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, aimed at talented individuals who have the potential to make change. She earned a Masters in Business Studies, Marketing from Massey University in New Zealand.

Evrita Malli

Evrita is a banking and financial services professional with more than 15 years’ experience in Cyprus and the UK - Cyprus Popular Bank, now Bank of Cyprus, in London & Cyprus, Eurobank Cyprus, UCITS Management company). She has a multi-faceted experience in financial services/banking, spanning credit & commercial banking, risk management, compliance, treasury, private banking, project management and wealth management operations. Exposure from the positions of Deputy in the Group CRO’s office, Head Risk & Project Management, Commercial Credit officer and Head Wealth management operations, provide for a deep understanding of lending, credit structuring / reviews, NPLs, Treasury, FX and Investment products. She has project managed projects such as: Development and issuance of private banking structured products; Development, testing and roll-out of eBanking platform; Centralization of FX transactions; Bank’s head office relocation; Bank branch rationalization; Organization and co-ordination of charity events / gala functions.

Evrita holds an MBA from Ohio State University and a BBA /Finance and BA /German (Highest Honours) from the University of Texas at Austin. She also holds the Advanced Examination certificate by the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission.

Photis Ioannou

Photis is an experienced real estate property professional, with a diverse industry experience. He has project managed development projects (design, development, sale, issuing of title deeds, after sales asset management) for more than 2,000 residential units across Cyprus and more than 15 residential conversions in London, UK. His companies have sold more than 3,000 properties and are asset managing more than 300 individually owned residential units.

He is the founder of and is actively involved with a number of companies providing real estate services such as: valuations; real estate agency; property management; compulsory acquisitions consulting/ negotiation/expert witness court representation; real estate investment consulting; project management and development; immigration / real estate services for permanent residency purposes. He has acted as property valuations consultant to many institutions including all the major Cypriot banks and most municipalities in Famagusta.

Photis holds a BSc (Hons) in International Securities Investment and Banking from the University of Reading and an MSc in Real Estate Finance and Funding, (Hons.) from the University of Reading. Photis is a registered valuation surveyor, a registered estate agent and a registered contractor.

Kostas Kapetanakis

Kostas specializes in NPL transactions (both sale and buy side) mostly relating to Cypriot and Greek banks' projects and portfolios. Kostas has been cooperating with 8GCP for a number of years as an external advisor. Besides 8GCP Kostas has also been working with Alvarez Marsal Greece and other private clients. Prior to that Kostas was the CEO of the real estate management company of G.S. Livanos (Greek shipowner group) comprising commercial and hospitality assets. Kostas has also worked as an investment director to Piraeus Capital Management (Greece) and as an associate to Dolphin Capital Partners (Greece).

Kostas has an MBA from Columbia university, a MSc (Communications and Signal Processing) from Imperial college and a diploma in Electrical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens.

Katerina Stavrinou

Katerina is an experienced real estate professional, specializing in asset management and valuations for longer than 20 years. Katerina was responsible for a varied portfolio of c. 2300 assets (office, logistics, retail, land, leisure, telecoms installations etc.) across Greece as the Head of the Business Planning Department at the Asset Management Division of OTEestate, a subsidiary of the Greek telecom organization. Prior to that Katerina was head of the Valuation Studies & Project management department at a large real estate valuation and consultancy firm in Athens. She is also the founder of KappaSigma Partners, a real estate strategy company. Katerina successfully project managed or participated in numerous real estate projects relating to valuations, REIT formation, feasibility studies, KPIs, market research, asset management and business planning.

Katerina holds a B.Sc.(Hons) in Construction Management and an M.Sc. in Property Investment & Development from the University of Manchester. She also holds a diploma in Civil Engineering and a diploma in Surveying. She is a member of the RICS and a member of the Chartered Institute. Katerina is a member of the RICS Telecoms Forum and registered valuer in Greece.

Thanasis Athanasiou

Thanasis is a real estate consultant and an economist. He has sold more than 2,000 real estate units and has been instrumental in the successful completion of more than 35 land development projects with a total value greater than €200 million. He is the managing director of Sweet Home Estates, which offers a wide range of professional real estate services including sales, rentals, valuations, project and construction management, real estate developing, holiday lettings and property management. He has an excellent working knowledge of the land registry and planning departments’ regulatory framework, which is instrumental for aiding property owners in resolving planning issues and discrepancies. Thanasis was previously the sales and new business development manager one of the biggest developer group where, among other responsibilities, he managed the group’s network of real estate agents, determined its pricing policy and negotiated sales and purchase agreements.

Thanasis holds a BSc in Economics from the University of La Verne, Califorinia, USA and an MSc in Accounting and Financial Economics (Hons) from the University of Essex, UK. He is a licensed real estate agent.

Xenios Tsierkezos

Xenios is a property manager. He is managing director of Imagine Villa Rentals, specializing in holiday rentals and property management. Xenios and his team are managing more than 250 villas and short lets as well as 100 residential properties in Nicosia, Famagusta and Paphos areas. They are responsible for the properties’ marketing, rentals, facilities management and related accounting and complete more than 5,000 short and long lets annually.

Xenios holds a BSc in Property and Facilities Management (Hons) from Liverpool John Moores University, UK and a BSc in Property Management and Investment (Hons) from the University of Salford, UK. He is a registered valuation surveyor and a registered and licensed real estate agent.

Lance Stanbury

Lance is a large format retail property consultant with over 25 years’ experience of directing retail and leisure operations. Through his position as Shopping Centre Development Director at Cushman & Wakefield, he has worked in the UK, Turkey, Poland, Hungary, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Albania and Syria, in the fields of pre-opening management set-up and launching of schemes (master planning, tenant co-ordination, contract tendering, marketing, asset management, staff recruitment and restructuring). He also regularly delivers shopping centre management and retail-tainment masterclasses throughout EMEA, Central Asia and the Far East.

He holds Diplomas on Shopping Centre and Leisure Management from the University of Estate Management, the ICSC European Retail Property School and ILAM.

Shrenik Davda

Shrenik has over 35 years of commercial and investment banking experience primarily with leading international banks (including Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan), niche corporate finance firms as well as independently. He has a proven track record of building and managing market-leading banking franchises as well as establishing and growing financial advisory boutiques, including co-founding a financial advisory firm which was later acquired by Deutsche Bank. Recently he advised Banque Audi Group on NPL recovery at its Instabul-based subsidiary. Shrenik has board governance experience and is currently serving as Trustee for two NGOs and chairs the supervisory board of a leading Ukrainian government owned bank, to help instil international governance and risk management standards and prepare the bank for privatisation.

He has a wealth of credit and lending experience in the CEEMEA region having worked on the origination structuring, documenting and syndication of a wide range of debt and innovative trade finance transactions.

Shrenik has an MBA from INSEAD and a Law Degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Marios Alexandrou

Marios is a leading consultant and contractor in the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) industry in Cyprus. He is the co-founder of Energy Intel Services which provides consulting services to investment funds for the development of energy projects in CEE and acts as a certified partner to several renewable energy suppliers. Marios project managed the design and installation of several PV power plants in Cyprus and Greece (100KW-3MW) and was a consultant to both the CSP (heliothermic) projects in Cyprus (50MW capacity each) that received NER300 funding. Prior to entering the RES industry, Marios served for 13 years in the Air Force. He led the commissioning, delivery and acceptance tests for new defence systems, established procedures and delivered training to officers and commanders and updated operational plans to incorporate new technology.

Marios is a graduate of the Hellenic Air Force Academy with a specialization in air defense electronics and warfare with post-qualification training in electronic warfare, tactical warfare. He is also certified for the Dimensioning and Installation of Large Scale Solar Thermal Systems and PVs for Heating/ Cooling/ Electricity Production.

Xenios Xenophontos

Xenios is a renewable energy consultant and developer. He is the CEO of P.F.X.T. Thermosolar Renewables Ltd, the owner of Helios Power, a thermosolar project. He is also co-founder of Aerotricity Ltd, a 2.4MW wind farm operating in Cyprus since 2010. He also owns and operates a number of small PV parks (Total 1MW). Xenios has 17 years of financial services industry experience. He worked at Bank of Cyprus for 13 years where his last role was Corporate Banking Development Manager; during his tenure at the bank he gained experience in business development, project risk assessment and internal process re-engineering. He also worked at CNH Capital Markets as corporate manager being responsible for mergers and acquisitions and public company listing and at National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd as Corporate Banking Manager, with the remit of developing the corporate loan portfolio.

Xenios holds a BA (Hons.) in Accounting from Lancashire Polytechnic and an MBA from Warwick University. Xenios is an FCCA (Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants) and an FCIB (Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers).
